In Good Coffee, Great Coffee, mastering the Iced Americano is one of the first steps to becoming a skilled barista. This indie coffee simulator by TapBlaze lets players experiment with different drinks as they level up. Unlocking and preparing an Iced Americano is simple, but attention to detail is key to serving customers correctly.

Reaching Level 2 grants access to Ice Cubes, a crucial ingredient.

At the beginning of the game, players can only brew espressos. However, once you accumulate 100 XP, you’ll reach Level 2 and gain access to new ingredients. Ice Cubes, a necessary component for Iced Americanos, can be purchased from the Ingredients page in the Xpresso menu for $20.

Checking the Ingredients menu regularly is important, as new ingredients become available with each level-up.

Ice Cubes are needed for all cold beverages.

Once you’ve unlocked Ice Cubes, you can start fulfilling orders for Iced Americanos and other cold drinks. Remember that every "iced" drink in the game requires two scoops of ice to be correctly prepared.

Iced Americano Recipe

Espresso + Ice Cubes (x2) + Cold Water

Required Glasses:

  • Espresso: Shot glass
  • Iced Americano: Tall glass

Follow these steps to make an Iced Americano:

  1. Brew an espresso as usual.
  2. Select a tall glass from the right side of the screen.
  3. Add two scoops of ice to the tall glass.
  4. Drag the espresso into the tall glass.
  5. Select the cold water pitcher (marked with a snowflake) and pour water into the glass until full.
  6. Move the drink to the top of the screen to serve it to the customer

Avoiding Common Mistakes

Using the wrong glass can result in wasted ingredients.

A key difference between an Americano and an Iced Americano is the temperature. A standard Americano requires hot water and a mug, while an Iced Americano uses cold water, ice, and a tall glass.

If you make a mistake, you can drag the drink to the bottom of the screen to discard it. However, wasting ingredients reduces your earnings, so be careful if you’re saving up for coffee machine upgrades or new café accessories.
